These terms cover your use of stanserve.com. The site is run by StanServe, a Stan Technology company. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

This is not a service agreement

These terms cover the website only. Servers, hosting, managed services and DevOps work are governed by the order you place through Stan Billing at stanbilling.com and by any agreement or quote you accept from us, not by these terms. Nothing on this site, including a plan card or a price, is an order or a contract on its own.

Prices and plans

Plans, specifications and prices on this site describe what we offer and can change. Prices are set in US dollars; prices shown in Canadian dollars or euros are converted at rates we set. The plan, price and currency on your order are what you are billed. Panel licences such as cPanel and Plesk are passed through at cost, and that cost is set by their vendors.

Information on the site

We write the descriptions, hardware details and answers on this site to be accurate when we publish them, but they are general information, not advice about your own workload. The Headroom drawing on the home page illustrates how we watch capacity; it is an example of the method, not a record of a real month. For whether our platforms are up right now, our status page is the record, and if it and this site ever disagree, believe the status page.

Using the site

You agree not to:

• send false information, spam or automated submissions through the contact form;

• try to break, overload or get around the security of the site or its admin area;

• copy the site's content in bulk, or scrape it, including contact details, with automated tools;

• use the site in a way that breaks the law or infringes anyone's rights.

Intellectual property

The site's content, including its text, design, drawings and graphics, belongs to StanServe or its licensors and is protected by copyright. You may view it, print it and share links to it. You may not republish, resell or pass off any of it as your own without our written permission. Names and logos of other companies and products belong to their owners, and mentioning them does not mean they endorse us.

No warranty

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or suitable for any particular purpose. What we promise about the services you order is set out in that order, not here.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, StanServe is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or any loss of profits, data or business, arising from your use of the site or its content, or from your inability to use them. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Links to other sites

The site links to websites we do not control, including Stan Billing, our status page and the other Stan Technology companies. Each has its own terms and privacy policy, and a link is not an endorsement.

How we handle personal information is explained in our privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about them will be decided by the courts of British Columbia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
